The AAMC is all about improving yourself and helping others. This group focuses on
women and supporting each other through life challenges. It's about being good to your body, mind and spirit so that
you can be a positive influence for others. It's about challenging yourself by setting goals and working to achieve
them. We are dedicated to our families and community and look for ways to improve each.
CLUB ACTIVITIES
- Sponsor seminars on various women’s health subjects such as weight loss, health and fitness, stress in the workplace,
stress at home, relationships, caring for the elderly, loss of a loved one, etc.
- Visit various locations such as homeless shelters, battered women’s shelters, nursing homes, etc. AAMC provides clothing, shoes, food, physical and emotional care.
- Travel for entertainment and research. Provide an annual member’s
only retreat for de-stressing and relaxation.

Atlanta City Refuge
Located downtown; 1300 Simpson Rd, Atlanta, when you reach the corner of Northside Drive and Simpson
Road (not far from Olympic park and the dome), turn onto Simpson and go a mile or so. It looks like a school bus yard at this
point.
IMMEDIATELY, they have an URGENT need for volunteers -- hands on volunteers for as many hours as you would like, 24/7
The center director said they especially LOVE youth group volunteers because young people have so much energy and willingness
to lend a hand. (please spread this news to youth groups in your life)
